Learning From My Gambling Errors

First to explain why I write this essay. I have been gambling on the net or at physical betting houses for a great many years. I have discovered, the dependency can take a hold of you and you won’t even realize it up until you are bankrupt. Particularly if you’re on a winning streak. I have gone through countless thousands of dollars in a very tiny period of time and still on occasion, I’ll go too far. It appears you are just having fun until you start to pay attention to your loss and the guilt settles in, and then you keep telling yourself "I can get it back" repeatedly. It does not works. Then you become sick in your belly and the harder you try the faster you lose.

When you see that you are up, STAY on the UP! When you start to be beaten, don’t say to yourself, "well just maybe just one more" and again and again, believe me, this concept RARELY ever functions. Say you’re playing on slots, have an amount set to the side prior to starting your play. DO NOT exceed that limit, regardless how alluring. If you actually succeed, put that in a separate canister. Do not spend your wins no matter what. Once you’ve gone through your original set limit, call it a day. Head out, regardless if it is on the net or at a land based betting house, do not stick around. Always remember, there will be a different day, another time.

Remember, wagering is supposed to be exciting not backbreaking, nauseating work! If you aren’t having fun yourself, you don’t belong there. If youcan not manage the loss, don’t even begin.
