Cambodia Gambling Dens

There is a fascinating story to the Cambodia casinos that reside just over the dividing line from next door Thailand, in which casino gambling is not permitted. Eight gambling halls are situated in a relatively tiny location in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia gambling halls is in a prime destination, a three to 4 hour travel from Bangkok and Macao, the two largest wagering locations in Asia. Cambodia gambling halls do a huge business with Thai blue-collar workers and guests from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The astonishing income acquired from the gambling halls ranges from $7.5 million to more than twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a number of restrictions constraints for gambling den ownership. Ownership is required to be largely Thai; although, financing sources are vague. The borders are ceremoniously open from 09:00 to 1700, and though visas are allegedly necessary to pass, there are means around this, as is true of most borders.
The initial Cambodia casinos opened in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in 1998, leaving only a single casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a docked barge gambling hall, highlights one hundred and fifty slots and sixty gaming tables. The Naga casino is open all hours with forty two tables of mini-punto banco, 4 tables of blackjack, 10 of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and a single table each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The initial gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown quickly opened. A total of 150 slot machine games and five tables at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four one armed bandits and 68 table games at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort contains 300 slot machines and 70 table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 one armed bandits and ninety six gaming tables, including 87 punto banco (the most dominant game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. In addition, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slot machines and sixty six of the familiar gaming tables, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the eight gambling halls in Poipet, again in a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machines and 97 table games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a multinational resort and hotel building that features many conveniences accompanying the gambling den, which offers ten thousand sq.ft. of 130 slot machines and eighty eight table games.
